  “Tell him I’m busy right now with a business matter, but I’ll call him once I’m done with Ms. Withers.”

  “Right you are, sir.” She stood looking at us.

  “Ms. Peabody, are you going to stand there and watch me fuck Ms. Withers, or what?”

  She waved to us and then shut the door. I wondered how many times she’d walked in on him in a situation like this because she hadn’t seemed shocked, and he hadn’t either. Maybe other caterers had fucked up his order too.

  “Okay, so where were we?” he asked.

  “You were going to fuck me so hard that the whole of Portland will hear me.”

  He thrust with such force that he moved my body a good foot along the desk, my skin skidding across the polished mahogany.
